As a business owner, the hustle never stops—or so it feels. The early mornings, late nights, and everything in between come with the territory when you’re running a business. But every now and then, life throws you a curveball, like being knocked out by illness. Recently, I found myself in just that position: stuck in bed for 6 days, feverish, congested and just plain useless.
While I was down for the count, my team ran the show seamlessly. From ensuring the bakery in Eagan kept its warm, welcoming vibe, to delivering those signature half-pound cookies to all their outlets, my team didn’t miss a beat. They held down the fort with skill and passion, embodying the T-Rex Cookie values every step of the way.
Being forced to step back gave me a new perspective. It reminded me just how crucial a strong, dependable team is to the success of any business. I’m endlessly grateful for each of them and for all they do. Their ability to collaborate, take initiative, and represent T-Rex Cookie is something I never take for granted.
